    Age 35

    Aarav is a working professional with a spouse and a young daughter. He chooses IndiaFirst Life Guardian of Life Dreams Term Plan to financially protect his family's future.

    35 – 36 Years

    Aarav selects a Sum Assured of ₹1 Crore under the Life Cover option and chooses coverage up to age 80. He also selects the Lump sum and Level Income death benefit payout option to support his family’s future financial needs.

    He continues paying premiums as per the selected premium payment frequency. During the policy term, his family remains protected, and he continues to enjoy life cover as per the policy terms.

    Claim Settlement Process

    Step 1: Claim Registration

    • On death during the policy term when the policy is in force, the death benefit becomes payable to the nominee as per the coverage option and death benefit payout option chosen at inception.

    Step 2: Claim Assessment

    • The applicable death benefit will be determined as per policy conditions. 
    • For Limited/Regular Premium policies, the benefit payable will be the higher of Sum Assured, 10 times of Annualized Premium, or 105% of Total Premiums Paid. 
    • For Single Premium policies, the benefit payable will be the higher of Sum Assured or 1.25 times the Single Premium.

    • The death benefit will be paid according to the selected payout option, as a lump sum, monthly income for 10 or 20 years, or partly as a lump sum and partly as monthly income.

    Under this option, the life assured can exit his/her policy with a Smart Exit Value, where the life assured shall be returned the total premiums paid as a lump sum benefit. No additional premium is payable to avail this option. Only available with Life Cover option.

    What are Health Management Services?

    Answer

    Health Management Services are complementary services in the areas of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or recovery, which may include services such as medical consultation, coaching, second opinion, personal medical case management with the objective of health management and improvement.

    What premium payment terms are available under Limited Premium?

    Answer

    For Limited Premium, allowable Premium Paying Terms (PPTs) are 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, and 20 years only.

    How are instalment premiums calculated?

    Answer

    The following premium frequency factors will be multiplied on the Annualized Premium to arrive at the instalment premium:

    • Annual / Single – 1.0000

    • Half-yearly – 0.5102

    • Quarterly – 0.2577

    • Monthly – 0.0865

    What is the grace period for premium payment?

    Answer

    30 days for Limited Premium policies with yearly, half-yearly & quarterly modes and 15 days for the monthly mode.

    The policy will remain in force during this grace period.

    Can a lapsed policy be revived?

    Answer

    Under Limited Pay policies, the revival period is 5 years from the date of the first unpaid premium.

    The policyholder may revive the policy by paying all the arrears of premium with interest within 5 years from the due date of the first unpaid premium, subject to the production of satisfactory evidence of health, if required.

    What happens in the case of the death of the life assured?

    In case of the death of the life assured during the policy term, the death benefit will be paid to the nominee as per the plan option chosen.

    What are the available death benefit payout options?

    The policyholder will have the option to choose a death benefit payout as below:

    • Only as a lump sum

    • Only Monthly Income for 10/20 years

    • Partly as a lump sum and partly as a monthly income for 10/20 years

    How is the death benefit calculated?

    • Sum Assured
